VirtualHome is a great jailbreak tweak that makes use of the Touch ID fingerprint sensor as the Home button. Basically, all you need to do is to place your finger on the Home button or Touch ID to mimic a Home button press, rather than the fact that you actually press on it. This may come in handy, as it eliminates the situation where your home button is wet with sweat and tear. However, VirtualHome includes support for iOS 9 only, however, there is a simple method to bring it to iOS 10.
In this guide, we will run you through the steps to get VirtualHome functionality in iOS 10 using Activator. Before we begin, make sure that you have your iPhone jailbroken. Note that some of popular tweaks are not working in iOS 10.
Steps to get VirtualHome functionality in iOS 10 using Activator
Step one: First off, you are supposed to download and install Activator from Cydia to proceed
Step two: Once you are done, all you need to do now is to head to the Settings app and open Activator
Step three: Next up, you have to select Anywhere. After that, you simply need to scroll down to the section called Touch ID Fingerprint Sensor and select Single Press to proceed
Step four: Once you are done, all you have to do now is to choose Home Button under System Actions to complete the task
From now on, while you are within the app and tap on the Home button once, you will be taken to your Home screen, meaning that you will no longer need to press the home button to unlock your phone.
Note that the tweak won’t require your finger registered for Touch ID, as it works perfectly with any finger except the one you use to unlock your device.
