Gmail is one of the most used email services in the world with dozen of exciting features that meet perfectly your everyday mailing needs. Google’s mailing service has been available on iOS for a while and Google has been putting out of important updates of its mailing app on the iPhone in an attempt to attract more users.
Google today released a big update for its Gmail app for iOS. This time’s update introduces a brand new look, improved performance and some new features, which brings it in line with the Android app.
The basic features are still there, but they are now more useful and smarter. The search feature has been much improved, allowing users to locate their content faster than before. Besides, the search bar now includes instant results and spelling feature suggestions every time you type.
The Undo button finally arrives, allowing users to undo the email that has been sent. You can swipe a message to either archive or delete it. However, the biggest change in Gmail app for iOS lies in its Material Design, the same thing we have already seen on the Android app. The new design brings in an all-new pop-out side menu with bright colors and animations. Gmail is now better looking and much easier to use.
The overall performance has been much improved, resulting in a faster experience for iPhone users. The Calendar app for iPhone also received a small update today, bringing in Events, reminders and goals that have been present in the Google Calendar for a while. Besides, the Calendar app for iPhone now includes support for non-Gregorian calendars including Lunar, Islamic and Hindu.
The new update has started rolling out to the Apple App Store today. If you are using the Gmail as your main email app, make sure that you download today’s update.
