iOS 10 brings an overhauled Control Center, which now features up to three different panels instead of jamming everything in one place. Control Center is now cleaner and more visually appealing compared to how it looked in iOS 9 with sharper text and rounded edges.
iOS 10 Control Center now includes a dedicated section for media playback, meaning that the previous obvious media controls including AirPlay controls are now no longer there, instead Apple distributed them between two screens, which may lead to confusion for newcomers. With that in mind, in this guide, we will walk you through the steps to AirPlay content from your iPhone or iPhone to Apple TV
- Steps to AirPlay media
Step one: First off, you need to access Control Center on your device. To do this, you simply need to swipe up from the bottom of the screen to bring up Control Center
Step two: Once you are done, you will be taken to the new Control Center with three different panels. All you need to do now is to swipe left to access the Now Playing screen
Step three: You will see the preview of the currently playing media and all you need to do now is to tap on the bottom part of the Control Center where it says “Now Playing on iPhone”.
Step four: Once you are done, you will see the “Apple TV” option here and you simply need to tap on it and the media will start playing content on your Apple TV
- Steps to AirPlay iOS screen
Control Center now includes AirPlay mirroring, where you can mirror your iOS screen on your Apple TV. Here is how you can do this:
Step one: First and foremost, you need to swipe up from the bottom of the screen to bring up Control Center and swipe up on the Control Center to proceed
Step two: You are now supposed to tap on “AirPlay Mirroring” and select “Apple TV”. To stop the mirroring, just need to tap on the same button.
