iOS 10 comes with tons of handy features and new changes that enhance your iOS experience. Whether it is new lock screen, HomeKit or new Messages app, iOS 10 is really something you don’t want to miss at all. One of my favorite features in iOS 10 lies in its ability to read small texts.
iOS 10 includes an exciting feature called Magnifier. As its name suggests, the new feature allows users to use their iPhone’s camera to zoom into a text, making it much more readable for anyone with low vision. In reality, you can do the same thing using your phone’s camera, but the main difference here is that Magnifier allows for larger extent. Besides, Magnifier includes a separate user interface with additional control buttons.
Magnifier include a much simpler interface with a slider in the middle for adjusting the zoom level. There are also a flash button for reading in low-light conditions and a lock button that allows you to lock focus.
Magnifier is pretty use on your iPhone. In this tutorial, we will run through the steps to use your iPhone as a magnifying glass. Here we go:
Steps to use your iPhone as a magnifying glass
Step one: First and foremost, you need to launch the Settings app from Home screen
Step two: Once you are in, scroll down to General and tap on it. Tap Accessibility and select Magnifier
Step three: All you have to do now is to tap on the toggle next to Magnifier. Besides, you can also enable Auto-Brightness that adjusts your screen based on ambient light settings by tapping the switch next to Auto-Brightness.
Once you have enabled Magnifier on your iPhone, you can access it by triple-pressing your Home button. Once you are in the Magnifier interface, use your camera to point it at the text you want to read and zoom it until it is more readable for you.
In iOS 10, Apple has added some Accessibility enhancements. Aside from Magnifier, we have display accommodations and speech enhancements.
