AirDrop is a useful and convenient option to share files between iOS devices and Macs, however, not many people know how to use it. Even when you have already disabled AirDrop, the feature still lurking around.

However, those with a jailbroken device can hide AirDrop from their iOS device completely. Recently, a free jailbreak tweak developed by Justin Petkovice allows you to delete AirDrop from your Share Sheets.

Despite the fact that the decision to send and receive files through AirDrop is entirely up to you, I would suggest you do so in case you want to use this tweak.

Step 1: First off, open Control center

Step 2: Tap on the AirDrop button

Step 3: Next, in the pop-up menu, choose “Receiving Off” option. After that, AirDrop will be disabled and its button will also turn gray.

Once you disable AirDrop, it still clutters in Control Center as well as in all your Share Sheets. As a result, you are recommended to use AirDrop Disabler since it allows you to hide these button entirely.

In fact, when AirDrop is removed from your Share Sheets, you will find out that the interface is much simpler and cleaner to use since AirDrop Box takes up a large space in the Share Sheets.

Then please note that apart from this way, you can apply this tweak with options in Springtomize 4 to hide AirDrop button as well.

It would be great if AirDrop would enable users to remove AirDrop from Control Center out of the box because it seems slightly incomplete in its current form. Besides, it obviously makes those Share Sheets tidier, which is probably good for people who don’t using AirDrop frequently.

AirDrop Disabler is available to download for free from Cydia’s BigBoss repository and it is compatible with all jailbroken iOS 10 devices. Other configures will not support the tweak.
