WhatsApp is now one of the most used messaging services in the world. Basically, WhatsApp allows you to send messages, images, GIFs, audios and phone contacts to your friends and families. WhatsApp strives to improve every year, as the company is rolling out major updates to enhance user experience.
Earlier this month, Facebook-owned messaging service launched two-step verification feature for its users worldwide. Basically, the new feature adds an extra verification process when you first set up your WhatsApp account, thus enhancing the security of your account.
If you once set up two-verification on other services like Google or Twitter, you may have noticed that process of using two-step verification feature is little bit different. With that in mind, we believe that we can help you out.
In this step-by-step guide, we will walk you through the steps to set up two-step verification on WhatsApp iPhone
Steps to set up two-step verification on WhatsApp for iPhone
Step one: First off, you need to launch the WhatsApp app from your home screen and head to Settings to proceed
Step two: Next up, you need tap on Accounts, and select Two-step verification. Once you are in, you simply need to tap on Enable to move to the next step
Step three: You are now supposed to enter your six digit and confirm it
Step four: Once you are done, all you need to do now is to enter your email address which will be used to reset your passcode. If you happen to forget your passcode, you can use your email address to access WhatsApp
That’s it! From now on, your account will be double-protected. We recommend you enable two-verification for your account to make sure that your personal details are secure.
With iOS 10, you now can reply to messages you receive in WhatsApp right from the lock screen by simply swiping left and tapping the “Reply” button.
