If you frequently head to workout sessions, then at some point you may have wanted to sync your music from your iPhone to Apple Watch. This allows you to listen to your favorite tracks every time you hit the gym without any iPhone. Fortunately, there is a simple way for moving your music from iPhone to your smartwatch. All it takes is downloading an app from the App Store.
In this guide, we will go through the steps to sync albums and playlists from your iPhone to Apple Watch. Before we begin, make sure you are now running a modern version of iOS and macOS. Head to Settings > General > Software Update and install any available updates.
How to sync albums and playlists from iPhone to Apple Watch
Step one: First off, place your Apple Watch on its charger and start charging your device. After that, pick up your iPhone and then launch the Watch app from your home screen
Step two: Once you are in, make sure the Watch tab is selected and then hit Music
Step three: When you are done, tap on Add Music at the bottom of the screen and then select the albums and playlists you wish to sync to your Apple Watch
Note that if you are an Apple Music subscriber, your playlists are synced with your Apple Watch automatically. If you cannot sync your albums and playlists to Apple Watch, try downloading them to your iPhone and sync them with your smartwatch.
How to remove playlists from your Apple Watch
Step one: Launch the Watch app from your home screen and then hit My Watch tab to proceed
Step two: Hit Music and then tap on Edit located at the top right corner of the screen
Step three: Once you are done, hit the Red button and then select the Delete button to complete the task.
Note that Apple Watch has only 2GB of internal storage and there is no way to add more storage to your wearable device. We recommend you remove music you no longer need to free up some space.
