If you want to take a screenshot of what you are doing on your Mac, you will be happy to know that the process is pretty simple. If you need help, check out the steps below.
Step one: First off, open any app and head to a section you want to take a screenshot of
Step two: Once you are in, you simply need to hold down Cmd and Shift on your Mac’s keyboard and then press 3. By default, your screenshot will be saved to your desktop as a .png file.

Step one: First off, head to the Applications folder on your Mac, navigate to Utilities and open the Terminal app
Step two: Next up, now simply type “defaults write com.apple.screencapture location” and add where you want to save the screenshots to the end of the command (Make sure that you know the file path)
Step three: Once you are done, you need to restart the UI on your Mac to apply the change. To do this, simply type “killall SystemUIServer”
How to screenshot a section of the screen

Step one: First off, you need to hold down two keys Cmd and Shift, then press 4 on your Mac’s keyboard

There are times when you want to take a screenshot of a window on your Mac for sharing purposes. macOS allows you to easily screenshot a window without the need for a third-party program or app.
Step one: Hold down Cmd + Shift keyboard combination and then press 4 to proceed
Step two: Next up, press Space on your Mac’s keyboard when you see the crosshairs
Step three: Now just simply hover the cursor over the window you want to take a screenshot of and perform a left click (If you want to take a screenshot of a pull-down menu, repeat the process).
