iOS 10 comes with tons of new features and changes, but the biggest change is coming to the Messages app. You now have plenty of choices to spice up your conversation including stickers, apps, effects and bigger emoji characters. However, one of the most annoying things you may be facing with the iMessage in iOS 10 is that iMessage apps get automatically added to your drawer, making it nothing like mess.
If you are one of those who are experiencing issue, we believe that we can help you out. In this tutorial, we will show how to turn off Auto iMessage App Installs in iOS 10
Steps to turn off Auto iMessage App Installs in iOS 10
Step one: The first thing you need to do is to launch the Messages app from your home screen. Once you are in, open the iMessage conversation to proceed
Step two: Next up, tap the “App” icon next to the input field. After that, you will see a grid of all the installed apps. All you have to do now is tap the “Store” icon to open up the iMessage App Store.
Step three: From here, you are now supposed to select the “Manage” tab. Once you are done, you will see all the available iMessage apps here and you can disable all of them if necessary. You will see the option labeled “Automatically Add Apps”. All you have to do now is to tap on the toggle next to it to disable it.
That’s it! From now on, the iMessage apps won’t be installed automatically when you download apps that work with iMessage. The next time you want to install and use an iMessage app, you need to go to the Manage tab and look for your app and enable it. This could be exhausting, but let’s imagine if you come across tons of new iMessage apps automatically added to your app drawer every time you run the app updates, this is nightmare.
