How to use Bedtime in iOS 10 Clock

iOS 10 beta 2 has been around for a while and with it comes a host of exciting features along with improvements and bug fixes. Among several interesting features, there is a noteworthy feature called Bedtime. As its name suggests, Bedtime helps you get a better night’s sleep. Basically, the new feature allows you set your desired wake up time and it reminds you when it is best to go to sleep at night.

Steps to activate Bedtime in the Clock app

Before we get started, remember that the new Bedtime feature is found and configured right in your stock Clock app on your iPhone, so you can enable it in the Clock app. Here is how you do it:

Step one: You now need to open the Clock app. Once you are in, tap on the Bedtime tab at the bottom of the clock app to proceed

Step two: Slide the “Bedtime” toggle to the right to enable it. From here, you can select your desired wake-up time and bedtime by dragging each end of the circle. After that, you will notice how much sleep you will get for the time frame you have set.

Step three: Below the circle, there is Sleep Analysis section where you will see how many hours you sleep every day.

Steps to toggle your bedtime settings

In this part, we will walk you through the steps to adjust settings for bedtime including bedtime reminder, wakeup sound, or volume.

Step one: Launch the Clock app from your home screen and select the Bedtime at the bottom

Step two: Next up, all you have to do now is to tap the Options menu in the upper left corner

Step three: In the Bedtime Options screen, you can adjust the days of the week that you want to use Bedtime feature, or you just want to turn on Bedtime feature for all days

Step four: If you want to change when the feature reminds you about your bedtime, you simply tap on Bedtime Reminder button below. After that, you can change the wake up sound using the Wake Up sound option. Finally, you can change the wake up sound volume in the section below.

Step five: When you are finished, tap Done

Bedtime is a great addition to iOS 10. If you happen to sit the group of people with terrible sleep schedules, the new Bedtime feature should be your choice.
